#photographers is proud to celebrate deviantART's 6
th birthday by holding a special
Thumbhour Event with special guest Critics. Join us on August 7
th at 4PM EST (your local time here ->
[link]) and have your Photography critiqued by
$chix0r, ^alchemism, +suzi9mm, ^superkev, %fangedfem, and others.
We will also be holding special rounds of
Photo-Trivia! 
I heard a rumour there will be prizes given out!
Who knows what other surprises there might be too! So don't forget to join #photographers on August 7
th and help us celebrate the biggest Birthday Bash on the planet!
- As the name of the room says, we’re all here because of one precious interest: photography. It doesn’t matter if you shoot fashion, landscape, portraits, nude, architecture or anything else (or all of it at the same time!)…if you’ve got a camera, you’re part of this community already!
- So, yes, the aim of the room is providing anyone interested with a friendly place to talk photography. Here, you can find someone to help you out, should you need it, or ask advice to. Founders, operators and users will be happy to give a helping hand, if humanly possible, and be warned, many of us have different interests, so you can easily find tips for different areas of photography (“what’s the best light for a portrait?”, as much as “what lens should I use to shoot this landscape?”). Just come in and ask, who knows what (who!) you could find!
- Don’t forget, though, the exchange is not only unilateral! We are here to help, but we want to hear what you have to give as well. Help us get better, share your knowledge! Most of all, don’t be shy! We all always need to learn something more and something new.
- While we are so interested in photography, we understand that people can’t always restrain themselves to a single subject. You may come in to discover that we’re just having fun (hey, we’re young…), or having a laugh all together. Don’t worry about that…just join! We don’t bite, promise!
- Finally, that doesn’t mean you should avoid us if you are into drawing, pixel art, or digital painting. On the contrary! Our community is open to everyone, and wants to create a friendly athmosphere and a chance of meeting and sharing of ideas and point of views. Just keep in mind, photography is the main theme of the room, so don’t drift too much...
